Colours this year moved to Newbury Race course. The venue is larger and the competitions could be held in the same building as the traders. The 19th Century POW competition had 9 entries. This was the first UK competition to use the new rules. The Franco-Prussian war seemd to feature most in the matched army pairs. That said there were a great deal of other armies, including various Egyptian Campaigns and US civil War.
